I have yet to buy a pack or Arena run with real money — I prefer to grind for in-game gold the long way around — but I have several Hearthstone-addicted friends who've paid $20 or $50 upfront to purchase a bunch of card packs to aid them in the building of their deck. The Shop is a place for you to spend real money of gold to buy packs of cards, Arena entries, and Solo Adventures. While Hearthstone is free to install and play, most cards can only be gotten from.

Should I wait to find a specific card in a pack or should I craft it?

We all know the feeling: We want to play with a specific card, but we are reluctant to craft it, because we might find it in a pack and we don't want to waste the dust. Is this concern justified?

Let's look at the probability to find a specific card in a pack:

As you can see, the probabilities are so low that it does not pay off to wait for specific cards to come up. Your best shot is finding a specific GvG common, but even there you're looking at roughly 10 packs on average until you find it. For a specific legendary, you'll have to wait roughly 300 packs on average to find the card you are looking for!

Should I Dust Golden Cards?

In the end this is a matter of personal preference. All we can do is to objectify the question as much as possible.

Let's look at it from a fun perspective: If you want to craft a new legendary, you can dust four golden epics to be able to craft that legendary. Now let's consider this argument:

Argument (A): Do you personally find more enjoyment in the animations of the golden cards you need to disenchant, or do you find more enjoyment in playing with your new crafted card?

Our Tip:Keep your golden cards until you want to craft a specific card. Then use argument (A) to decide. Think of your golden cards as a piggy bank you can plunder if you need to.

Note that we do not recommend you dust any card unless you have more than two (except for Gnomish Experimenter).

How Much Dust in a Pack?

This question looks at how much dust you get out of one pack if you disenchant all cards.

Not accounting for golden cards, one pack is worth roughly86.7dust on average. We don't have good enough statistics on golden cards yet, so we're excluding that for the moment, but the dust value will be higher if golden cards are taken into account.

Our Tip:Think of one pack being worth roughly 100 dust, so that 100 gold equals 100 dust.

Hearthstone Card Search

Hearthstone 20.2 Patch has arrived with a slew of new content, including new Battleground heroes and minions, new Diamond cards, bug fixes and more.

And of course, there are several new things in the shop, including new hero skins, and a brand new type of item: Battle-Ready decks.

For the first time in Hearthstone's history, Blizzard is selling full decks instead of card packs or adventures with cards.

This means that for real money you will be able to get a deck of 30 cards, and all of the offered decks are absolutely competitive in the current meta.

There are 10 Battle-Ready decks currently available in the shop, one for each class.

Battle-Ready decks cost 19,99€ per deck, which is generally a completely fair price, given that meta-ready decks in card games like Yu-Gi-Oh and MTG often cost several hundred dollars.

All Battle-Ready decks are of high quality and the price is really tempting, and probably many free-to-play players are considering buying them.

But the catch is that you can buy only one deck, as Blizzard has put a restriction that only one Battle-Ready deck purchase can be done per account.

What is the best Hearthstone Battle-Ready Deck?

Based on the current meta, these are the three best Battle-Ready Decks to buy, and it's up to you to decide which one suits your playstyle.

Barrens Stampede - Hunter (Face Hunter)

It is more or less the exact copy of currently one of the best decks in the meta - Face Hunter - which has a win rate of around ~60%, with a few variations.

It is a really strong deck which is also a lot of fun to play, it works really well against almost any other strong meta deck and the games are often quick which means you will be able to climb the ladder fast.

People thought that Rokara will be a weak card, but it turns out that it is one of the strongest legendary cards from Forged in the Barrens.

This is a really strong tempo deck that combines hand-buffing with Rush and many cards have great synergy around the Rush mechanic.

You will often overwhelm your opponent with huge minions to which they will not have an answer. Deck's only weakness are classes that have several huge board clears, like Priest and Warlock, but those classes are currently not strong in this meta, so you will not play against them as often.

Holy Secrets - Paladin (Secrets Paladin)

Absolutely the best and safest purchase. Many predicted that the new Secret Paladin deck will be the strongest deck in the Barrens meta, and that's indeed true.

It is a very strong tempo deck that consistently wins the early game board control with efficient minions and annoying secrets that are hard to play around.

And as if that wasn't enough, it also wins the mid and late game with cards like Hammer of the Naaru, Kazakus and Cannonmaster Smythe.

Blizzard confirmed that they don't have plans to nerf these decks anytime soon, so each of these Battle-Ready Decks is currently a safe pick.

These three decks represent the strongest decks in the meta and each comes with 3 Legendary, 6 Epic, and 6 Rare cards. You would need to open a lot of packs in order to construct any of these decks, so if you are planning on spending money on Hearthstone, purchasing any of these Battle-Ready Decks is a no-brainer.
